Profile
Pharma is one of the most talented doctors at the Deltaran Medical Facility. A bit of a control freak, he has a serious know-it-all complex, but perhaps with good reason. A four-way fuel pump transplant is like a walk in the Helix Gardens to him, even when he himself is one of the donors. His ability to fly also makes him an excellent field medic for the Autobots. There are rumors that he works a third job as well, at some secret government facility. But they are only rumors, right?
History
A long time ago, Pharma was a good, intellectual class mech who chose the medical profession because he wanted to save people from death. He began training at the Deltaran Medical Facility in Iacon where he excelled at his trade, stunning even his instructors with the rate at which he learned the skill and the passion with which he pursued it. However, one day, he was presented with a moral dilemma the likes of which he had never experienced before. Two high-caste patients of the same, rare spark type required transplants of vital inner parts, but the hospital was thus far unable to find a compatible donor from a relinquishment clinic. Later that same day, a lower caste mech came in to have a few routine tests run. Much to Pharma's surprise, the mech was a fully compatible donor, capable of saving both patients. Pharma informed the mech of the situation, asking him if he would be willing to sacrifice for the sake of saving the 2 others, but the mech refused. Unsure of what to do, the doctor sought the advice of a former classmate, Starscream, who recommended that he lie to the donor and tell him that he had a condition that had not been previously detected in the test results but had been confirmed upon further testing, and required a procedure to repair. He would then clandestinely overdose the mech on anesthetics, so that he could claim the patient simply never woke up from the surgery. After all, that does happen in the medical profession on occasion. Pharma followed Starscream's advice, and the plan was successful. In fact, the DMF administration was so happy that Pharma managed to save those two high-caste patients whom they'd believed were a lost cause, that they promoted him. Elated at this, Pharma continued to neglect his work ethic, and eventually became extremely good at getting away with malpractice and other unethical activity. The hospital administration certainly helped; he was so good that any time suspicion was raised, they quickly dismissed it, not wishing to ever have to lose their "best" doctor. Now, Pharma can get away with practically anything, and the DMF would never even flinch--for he can do no wrong, according to them.
